116th Toronto International Salon of Photography, 2009
The Toronto International has been attracting entries since 1892 and is organised by the Canadian Association for Photographic Art (CAPA), which follows the recommended practises of FIAP and the PSA.
This years International attracted around 3000 images from just over 450 photographers, three of which were DAPA Group members, Cherry Larcombe, Keith Naylor and John Powell. All three members are eagerly awaiting their AFIAP distinctions in March, 2010 and are well on the road to meeting the minimum criteria for their EFIAP distinctions in 2011.

Part of the EFIAP criteria is that the photographer must gain 5 International Awards. Gaining any kind of photographic award is difficult enough, let along at International level. Nonetheless, that didn’t stop Cherry from winning Gold in Toronto for Best Wild Flower with Silene Latifolia and an HM for Comfrey Symphytum.

A realy super shot of the Norfolk Mill Kieth. I’ve taken loads of images of this particular mill and not one of them is any good. Just waiting for a bright frosty morning.
