Ross McKelvey wins FIAP Gold
As well as an active DAPA member, this Practising Barrister-at-Law (specialising in civil litigation), Chairs the Belfast Photo Imaging Club (BPIC), currently the Top Club in Northern Ireland Photographic Association and affiliated to PAGB.
‘In September 2011 I got the ARPS for a panel of 15 beauty headshots; and in November 2011 got the DPAGB at Llanberis in North Wales,’ Ross tells me. In the current Northern Ireland Photographic Association Annual Exhibition (NIPA members only) Ross was awarded Gold and Silver PAGB Medals in Mono, and a Silver Medal in Colour. The exhibition was judged by Rod Wheelans of PAGB.
‘I achieved MY first FIAP acceptance in March in The Bristol Salon - to test the water,’ Ross continues, ‘I then entered Strakonice in Czech Republic and recieved an Honorable Mention. Since then, I have achieved 32 Acceptances in a total of 6 Salons, in 5 different Countries, with a total of 11 different images.’
