147th Edinburgh Photographic Society International Exhibition, 2009
Having entered the Edinburgh International exhibition last year we all knew it was going to be tough getting work accepted again.
This is because Edinburgh only accept around 7% of the actual work submitted, very much less than other International Exhibitions, which is usually around 20-30%. The job of selecting the prints for this years’ exhibition was handed to Irene Froy FRPS EFIAP MPAGB, Bob Moore HonFRPS HonPAGB and Dr. David Wheeler ARPS EFIAP DPAGB.

A full report of DAPA Group members scores has yet to materialise, but early notifications show that Cherry Larcombe BPE2 had 1 acceptance (Through the Fog) and John Powell BPE3, also had 1 acceptance (Living in the Past).

The exhibition is showing during the Edinburgh International Festival in The Photographic Exhibition Centre, 68 Great King Street from the 9th August to the 6th September 2009. Since 1947 the festival has become a hotspot for artistic talent and is reported to be one of the most exciting Arts Festivals in the world.
